Biography
Susan M. Szulewski, MD, MBA, is the chief medical officer for McLean Hospital and the vice president of Medical Affairs for Mass General Brigham Behavioral and Mental Health (BMH). In this role, she oversees a comprehensive portfolio of programs across McLean Hospital and BMH, including medical policy and physician professionalism for doctoral and related practitioner staff. She is the physician executive in support of quality, safety, experience, and equity at the hospital and across BMH.
Dr. Szulewski actively participates in the training of psychiatry residents, psychology interns, and medical students. Her clinical interests include emergency psychiatry, diagnostic assessments, and acute care stabilization. She is an instructor in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, as well as the Edward Peabody Lawrence Endowed Chair of Psychiatry at McLean.
