Biography
Maura Abate, PhD, has worked as a teacher, psychological examiner, school psychologist, licensed psychologist, and child/adolescent clinical neuropsychologist in a variety of settings—including public and private schools—for the past 30 years. Her focus has evolved to specialize in conducting neuropsychological evaluations with children, adolescents, and young adults.
Dr. Abate takes pride in sharing the results of neuropsychological evaluations with young patients in ways they can understand, as well as communicating the findings and recommendations with families and schools. She is passionate about sharing knowledge and experiences with post-doctoral fellows and supervising them in McLean’s Child and Adolescent Testing Service.
