John Rodolico, PhD, has been committed to using evidence-based treatments to help people with substance use disorders and co-occurring disorders, and to prevent suicide for close to 40 years. His clinical research focuses on motivational psychology, resiliency, and suicide prevention with military personnel, first responders, and veterans. Dr. Rodolico also has an extensive teaching history, supervising clinical psychology interns, psychiatry residents, and addiction psychiatry fellows. He has given numerous presentations, group consultations, and trainings on addiction, motivational interviewing, suicide prevention with military and first responder personnel, and military culture.

Dr. Rodolico is a retired Army Colonel having served in the Army Reserve and National Guard. As an Army Reservist, Dr. Rodolico was deployed to Iraq in 2003 and 2005-2006 as the executive officer of a Combat Stress Medical Company. He was awarded the Bronze Star on both deployments. His last position in the Massachusetts National Guard was as State Surgeon and was responsible for all medical operations. Throughout his military career, Dr. Rodolico spearheaded many projects dealing with suicide, substance misuse, and resiliency.
