Biography

Darlyn M. Scott, MSN, RN-BC, started her nursing career working in substance abuse. She has held various leadership positions including program director in a detox facility working with staff and patients to support sobriety and personal growth. She has worked for DMH in supervisory roles, including at Lemuel Shattuck Hospital where she was a nurse manager, and as a nurse manager on the Geriatric Psychiatric Unit at MetroWest Medical Center.

In 2011, Ms. Scott moved to McLean and is the nurse director of the McLean SouthEast Adult Psychiatric Programs. She was an integral part of the management team that successfully moved the unit from the Brockton VA to it current location in Middleborough. She is a member of APNA, MNA, and STTI, and is an adjunct professor at Regis College.
