McLean’s Inaugural Boston Marathon Team Crosses Finish Line

May 1, 2024

On Monday, April 15, the members of the inaugural 2024 Mental Health Matters Marathon team crossed the finish line at the 128th Boston Marathon.

In total, the team raised over $75,000, all to be directed toward programs and services at McLean Hospital. This was McLean’s first-ever Boston Marathon team, and the goal is to establish a growing effort that continues to train, fundraise, and race in future years.

“On behalf of the entire McLean community, we are so deeply appreciative of the first Mental Health Matters Marathon team who dedicated many months to training and fundraising,” said Scott L. Rauch, MD, president and psychiatrist in chief, McLean Hospital.

“Their commitment to supporting the vital mission of McLean and to raising awareness on the critical importance of mental health is something all of us are proud to cheer on and salute.”
